Maui, the Valley Isle, was once part of the islands of Molokai and Lanai, created by six different volcanoes millions of years ago. They are all today still part of Maui County, although rising sea levels have disjoined them and left shallow sea valleys in their wake. Maui also houses the largest dormant volcano in the world, Haleakala, whose next eruption is predicted to be within the next 200 years. 

The underwater valleys teem with marine life, such as humpback whales which migrate to Hawaii in the winter. Outdoor activities include witnessing spectacular sunsets on the summit of Haleakala crater. And of course, whale watching, snorkeling by colorful tropical reefs, world-class golf, and helicopter rides for a bird's eye view of the blue-green islands.

You'll experience a Royal Lahaina Luau for Two. Oceanside, nightly from 5:30 to 8:30, is an unforgettable celebration of music, dance and traditional festivities. Highlights include, aloha shell lei greetings, arts and crafts demos with the traditional emu ceremony, open bar, keiki (children)buffet, and fire dance finale with all performers.
