Western USA Escorted Coach Tour Package
(6 days/5 nights - begins and ends in Las Vegas)
Day 01 - Mon: Las Vegas - Zion National Park - Bryce Canyon National Park Depart your Las Vegas hotel this morning for the commencement of your Motorcoach tour. Once an oasis en route to California, Las Vegas began as a Mormon settlement and boomed during the silver rush. Today Las Vegas is one of the great gambling capitals of the world. Your journey this morning takes you from the bustle of Las Vegas, Nevada and into Utah's Zion National Park, where dramatic rock formations have been carved over millions of years by the forces of wind and water. Continue to Bryce Canyon where a multi-colored world of sandstone spires and pinnacles dazzle the eye. Nature's artistry has created rocks in thousands of shapes and colors, beautiful in their setting against the unusually deep blue sky. Hotel: Bryce View Lodge
Day 02 - Tue: Bryce Canyon - Capitol Reef National Park - Moab Depart Bryce Canyon this morning and travel to Moab and Capitol Reef National Park, a destination of extraordinary natural beauty, where the remnants of an old pioneer town form the heart of the park. Capitol Reef is celebrated for its multicolored cliffs, twisting canyons and massive domes, all of which inspired the Native Americans to christen this area the 'Land of the Sleeping Rainbow'. This national park was established in 1937 to protect a striking geological feature, the 'Waterpocket Fold', a 100-mile long wrinkle in the Earth's crust. Overnight in Moab. Hotel: 2 nights Ramada Downtown Moab
Day 03 - Wed: Moab - Arches National Park - Canyonlands National Park - Moab Journey today to two of America's most spectacular national parks. Your first stop, Arches National Park, is home to over 2,000 natural sandstone arches, including the awe-inspiring Delicate Arch, as well as many balanced rocks, fins and pinnacles. Then it's on to Canyonlands National Park, where you will explore the colordrenched landscape of sandstone eroded into hundreds of canyons, mesas and buttes by the forces of time and the Colorado River. Return to Moab to take an included Jet Boat Float trip on the mighty Colorado River.
Day 04 - Thu: Moab - Monument Valley - Page As you travel south today, you will enter the Navajo Indian Reservation, passing the trading post of Cameron. Continue through the Painted Desert to tour Monument Valley, an area that embodies perhaps the most definitive and iconic images of the American West. Indeed the isolated red mesas and sand swept buttes of Monument Valley have been photographed and filmed countless times for movies and advertisements. Because of this, many visitors often feel an instant familiarity with the landscape, a sense of déjà vu. In the afternoon, we enter the town of Page, in the Lake Powell region. Visit mighty Glen Canyon Dam, the second highest concrete dam in America. From here you?ll enjoy views of stunning Lake Powell. Overnight in Page. Hotel: Holiday Inn Express
Day 05 - Fri: Page - Grand Canyon National Park - Williams Depart Page this morning and journey to the colossal Grand Canyon National Park, one of the seven great natural wonders of the world. Stop at the Desert View Tower on the South Rim to fully experience this mile-deep canyon - plunging gorges, rising spires, extinct volcanos and below the rim, the winding Colorado River. Continue to Williams, nestled amongst picturesque Ponderosa pines, for overnight. Hotel: Holiday Inn Williams
Day 06 - Sat: Williams - Seligman/Route 66 - Las Vegas This morning your tour heads northwest and enters Nevada - home of Las Vegas, the dazzling 'Entertainment Capital of the World', where round-the-clock shopping, nightly shows, and of course gambling are available. Along the way, we pass through Seligman, a town built along the famed Route 66 that looks as if it were frozen in time sixty years ago. The tour concludes upon return to Las Vegas.
