British Virgin Islands

Hotels & holidays in the British Virgin IslandsSupposedly the inspiration for the novel Treasure Island by Robert Louis Stevenson, the British Virgin Islands (BVI) is made up of over 50 different islands. Whilst the destination can be a little expensive, it has helped keep the islands free of the rampant commercialism that has overwhelmed some of the other destinations in the region. and preserved the tranquil atmosphere that pervades them. You'll also find white sandy and uncrowded beaches and lush vegetation.
The easiest way to get to the BVI is via Antigua, from where there is a 1 hour connecting flight. To reach Tortola the connecting flight from Antigua is to Beef Island which is connected by road bridge to Tortola.
