Seasons follow a similar pattern to the UK with winter Dec- Feb usually very cold in the north and milder in the south, but with sub-zero temperatures and heavy snowfall likely. Summer Jun-Sep is moderate in the north to slightly hot in the south.

Most cities have numerous taxis, with bus and metro networks. There are excellent inter-province rail and coach networks.
Alcohol
Each province sets its own limits for permissable amounts of alcohol in breath with regard to driving. On average this is 35 micrograms per 100 ml of breath or 80 mgs per 100ml of blood.
It is advisable not to drink and drive in the Canada since severe penalties may apply.
Seat Belts
It is a requirement for everyone, including visitors, to use seatbelts at all times. Baby seats or child restraints must be used for all children.
